They are CLOSED with reopen date. There a sign on the doors that said they are looking for a new location. Hopefully they find one soon.

I've only tried Seattle Deli a few times and I must say my favorite would have to be Grilled Pork. They only have the red meatball /pork In skewers and it's a perfect pair with the Banh Mi!

Two words: Banh Mi. Seattle Deli makes one of the best banh mi's I've ever put in my mouth. The hype is real y'all, it's a must try if you're a lover of Vietnamese food or venturing to try something new. The pork is my absolute favorite but chicken comes close. The meat is tender and juicy, not dry and they also fill up your sandwich instead of just crispy bread. They've got a wide selection of pre made yummy foods like spring rolls, fried rolls, banh xeo and so much more. You can definitely come in and leave with bags full of amazingly flavored wrapped goods that taste like you've ordered from a restaurant. On our last visit we came near closing and were able to snag a bunch of bomb fried rolls for $.50 along with our sandwiches! I don't think I've ever been disappointed with anything I've ever ordered. The only con is the parking situation, it's a bit of a mess and I feel they would get more business if it was a little easier to get to. But don't worry, their parking lot doesn't deter me from craving their food. Also, this establishment is CASH ONLY so come prepared - if not, they do have an ATM. Overall, prices are great, food is even better. Quality food on the go if you're in a hurry. A MUST visit in Seattle.

Y'all. This is my second favorite place to get banh mi! They're open a bit later than other places in the area, and they have a huge selection of Vietnamese food to choose from. One of my absolute favorite Vietnamese snacks is banh bot loc -- clear tapioca dumplings with shrimp and pork. Seattle Deli always seems to have them when I go in! Other spots are usually out by the time I get there. The pork banh mi is my personal fave. The sandwiches are super cheap and they're filled with more meat than some other places. My only complaint is that the bread in their banh mi is super hard on the outside, like it's been sitting out for a while. I bet it would be a much better texture if you get there earlier than I normally do! (I usually can't get there until around 6pm on the weekdays...right before closing time.) Note: CASH ONLY! They have an ATM inside if you don't have cash on hand, but it comes with a small fee.

Seattle Deli is a dirt-cheap Vietnamese deli in a predominantly Vietnamese business area up on Jackson Street and above Chinatown. It's been around for a long time. They serve a host of to-go deli items like banh mi, pre-packaged house-made noodles, spring rolls, egg rolls, and the like. They also have grab-and-go desserts, biscuits and crackers, and a buffet style set-up to order things with rice. The buffet food doesn't look very fresh though. Banh mi here isn't bad. For Less than $4, it's a good deal. I like the grilled pork. It has a favorable meat to vegetable balance, and it tastes fine. I won't rant and rave about it. It's good though. To me, the appeal of this place is mainly from the cheap prices. This place does not accept card. It's CASH ONLY. So no money, no honey. Or should I say 'no munnay, no hunnay?'

One of my fave places to go for bahn mi. They give a generous amount of meat that is very flavorful. I usually get the BBQ pork bahn mi... delicious! Growing up I lived up north and would go to the Seattle deli along highway 99 and loved their sandwiches. CASH ONLY! So don't forget to get cash before coming!!!!! They do have an ATM in the store but of course there's a charge ($2 I believe). The sandwiches range from $3.25-$3.75

Love Seattle Deli. Good sandwiches, best banh gio on the planet, and love the selection of pre-made dishes; spring rolls, banh cuon, banh xeo, and xoi. You better know what to expect before coming here; bring cash, parking is a struggle, and help yourself...Prices are low, and reasonable. I love coming here. This place is love.

Cheapy! This little place with a million yummy things has been my favorite for a long long time!! I've gotten familiar with the food names since my very first visit but it's always an adventure coming here. Most my visits here sounds like this!! Me: Can I get "----"? Ladies behind the counter : You want thisss one? "Totally opposite -----???" Me -attempting to say my best Vietnamese "No, this one ~ point at yelp food pics" Lady: hUh? "Insert ladies speaking to each other in Vietnamese, scratching heads: staring at this Mexican chic (which I'm not) Me--google translate Ladies: Oh!!!! You no mean gai lau. You mean Goi Loooiooowwww!!!! Burst out giggles ~ grab my bao, my ice coffee, my banh mi, face palm, grab that Vietnamese ham~ went home happy. The end!! Everything here is made here pretty much! Super cheap, tasty Vietnamese treats! Most I don't know the name or what they are. But worst case: try it out. You'll only be out a couple of bucks anyway! And they also have a hot food station as well as packaged treats made the day off! Banh mis are cheap and tasty! Ice coffee is my favorite at $3!! So strong!! And the lost in translation + entertainment part ? Totally complimentary :) Thanks guys!! Ps: If all else fails: just yell out bun bo hue. Seems they all love my fav dish here!! You'll be speaking the same language in no time :)

In the International District, there are so many of these delis that you have no idea which ones are good. The only way is to buy and try as they are cheaper than anything you can get outside of the value menu at fast food joints. Seattle Deli trumps most of the ones in the surrounding 4 block radius as everything that I purchased that day exceeded my expectations. TIP: you may want to wasp down to an ATM machine or bank to secure cash money before heading over. Here is a sampling of what you will find: The Vietnamese Sandwiches (Bánh mì), are nearly perfect as they have just the right proportions of meat and veggies. In my case, I ordered the shredded pork and also the special (has a bit of everything). "Chè ", pronounced like Cherry but without the "re", is a traditional Vietnamese dessert soup or others refer to it as pudding. I saw at least 7 or 8 different varieties of chè and chose my favorite one (I think is called Chè Thung (?)). This dessert is an off white color and has dates, jellies and tapioca. So far, I don't know of any place that tops their version of this delight. "Xôi", pronounced soy is an often sweet (but not always) Vietnamese dish made from glutinous rice. We call it sweet or sticky rice. They have several varieties of these as well wrapped in saran wrap on stryofoam plates ready for mass consumption. Looked delicious but I was strapped for cash and didn't want to leave the food sitting in my hot car all day so I will try that another day. Also it is important to note that they have a buffet style setup that you can get portions of different Vietnamese dishes with rice. Vietnamese normally call this "com phan"; com is Vietnamese for rice and phan is Vietnamese for portion....thus a "rice portion" consists of Vietnamese entrees accompanied with rice. How it works is that you can order a couple (or more) of selections from the "buffet" and they pack it with steamed rice so you can have a family meal at home without slaving in the kitchen after a hard's day at work. All in all, great place for Bánh mì and snackies in the ID with the low prices we expect from Vietnamese delis. I cannot wait to drop by there again to try out the other items from their assortment of goodies. Just remember that, like most places of its kind, it is a cash only establishment, there is no seating area (to go only), and parking is a pain in the rear.
